Dear ACHCA-FL,
Like you, we are watching as the COVID-19 cases continue to escalate around the world and here at home. For our profession, this may be the most challenging time in our careers. It has been an ever-changing series of regulations, mandates, and updates. Our most vulnerable community is being hit hard and our members are on the front lines of this epic battle. Our hearts are breaking for our residents and patients who are now isolated from their families. The physical, psychological and emotional toll is staggering for us as well as those we care for. On top of everything at work, we need to care and worry about our own families. This unprecedented time in history requires us to adjust our normal practices and adhere to preventive measures to protect our residents, our families, our communities and ourselves.
The well-being of our members, team, and community is our top priority. We are monitoring and adhering to the latest guidance from the WHO, CDC, and federal agencies.
ACHCA is equipped with technology that allows us to serve your needs in a virtual environment. Our tools allow us to hold meetings remotely via phone or video chat. For membership needs, we ask for your patience as our team is answering calls and responding to e-mails. For your convenience, you can send us an e-mail at membership@achca.org or info@achca.org, we will respond to you as quickly as we can.
For any questions or member requests, feel free to reach out to us. We will add ACHCA and event updates to our website as information is updated. We encourage our members to continue sharing in the Peer2Peer Forum. Many members and others are also finding that the Facebook group, Administrators Forum, which is managed by several of our members to be very helpful. Find it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1545583345488253/
THANK YOU for everything that you do every day for your residents, their families, and your teams. Don’t forget to take care of yourself. Thank you for your membership and for being a catalyst for excellence as we navigate this rapidly changing situation. We will continue to support our members.
Stay safe and healthy.
